Session 190 - September 23, 2020: The warmest reflections

Having prototyped the brass ferrules, we dialed in the manufacturing process using a combination of clamps, spacers, steel bars (fabricated with exact dimensions), mallets, and brass sheets. Complicating this process was the need to manufacture the ferrules with two different mirrored dimensions to accommodate the angled legs (and desire for the final folds/nails to be hidden along inside edges). Working with the soft brass created particular challenges due to the ease of mistakenly marking/damaging/twisting the thin and malleable metal sheets.
